When you commission a custom piece, it is made specifically for you and the finished jewelry is yours. What is a separate matter is the underlying design. A deeply personal commission — a pendant built around a name, a symbol, an identity — is unrepeatable by nature and stays with your story.
The distinction matters most for reference-based work: when a client brings photos of a style they like, The Jewel Dude refines that direction, adds its own creative and technical development, and produces the piece. That refined design may naturally become part of the broader collection — unless exclusivity is agreed in writing before production.
